I Had the Knowledge. My Body Still Wouldn't Cooperate.

Too busy to read, listen to the audio below:
I have a kinesiology degree. A nutrition certification. Fifteen years of coaching other women through exactly this.
So when it came time to losing weight and getting strong again, I figured I had it handled. But I didn't.
When Everything I Knew Stopped Working
Two late miscarriages. A high risk pregnancy. My body was going through more than it had ever gone through before, and none of my training had prepared me for that.
I was carrying stress I didn't even know was there. My sleep was wrecked. My hormones were all over the place.
And I kept doing what I knew. More workouts. Cleaner eating. The things that had always worked before. They didn't work the same anymore.
For a while I thought something was wrong with me. I had the knowledge. I had the experience. So why wasn't my body responding?
The Piece I Was Missing
Here's what I finally understood. Exercise and nutrition are only two pieces of the puzzle. If your stress is unmanaged and your sleep is broken, no amount of clean eating or hard workouts can outrun that. Your body is too busy trying to survive to focus on getting strong.
I had to stop overworking myself and start addressing the other pillars. Stress. Sleep. Recovery. Not as an afterthought, but as the actual starting point.

Why All 6 Pillars Matter, Not Just Two
This is the part most fitness advice skips. Movement and nutrition get all the attention, but they're only 2 of the 6 pillars that actually run your health:
Mindset & Joy
Nutrition & Gut Health
Sleep & Recovery
Exercise & Daily Movement
Stress Management
Hydration
They don't work in isolation. They work together. My sleep was affecting my stress. My stress was affecting my hormones. My hormones were affecting how my body responded to workouts and food, no matter how "on plan" I was.
Once I started treating my health as one connected system instead of a strict checklist, things finally started to shift.
Then I Had My Son
That postpartum year, I made a choice. I prioritized my overall health. My needs. I asked for help instead of trying to do it all myself.
It worked. I lost the 30 pounds. But more than that, my strength came back. My mood came back. I felt like myself again for the first time in years!
If This Sounds Familiar
If you've been doing "everything right" and still feel stuck, you're not broken. You might just be missing pieces nobody told you to look at.
That's exactly what we work through inside the program REBUILT. All 6 pillars, together, not just workouts and food.
