Eating More Felt Like the Opposite of What I Needed. I Was Wrong.

No time to read, listen to the audio below:
As an athlete, I always understood the concept of fuelling my body to perform. Eat enough, train well, recover, repeat.
Then I became a mom, and everything I thought I knew got a little more complicated.
When Fuelling Properly Felt Like the Wrong Move
After having my baby, I was carrying more weight than I ever had. And the idea of eating more, of actually fuelling my body instead of restricting it, felt like a complete mindfuck.
Every instinct told me that eating more meant getting bigger. That if I felt big already, food was the enemy, not the answer.
But that instinct was wrong. And that's when I realized I wasn't the only woman who felt this way. Most moms have the same mind battle with food, but without the full education around nutrition like I do. That's when I decided I need to help more moms!
Why This Runs So Deep
Most women have spent years cycling through diets. Cutting this. Eliminating that. Learning to see food as something to control instead of something that supports them.
So when someone finally says "you need to eat enough," of course it feels backwards.
Years of yo-yo dieting taught us that eating equals getting fat. That belief runs deep, and it's not your fault you carry it.
The truth is the opposite. Your body needs enough nutrition to feel safe. When it feels safe, it can actually let go of what it's holding onto.
The Noise Makes It Worse
Here's what makes this even harder. You can find "evidence" for any point of view online.
Someone telling you to fast for 3 days. Someone telling you carbs are the enemy. Someone telling you to cut a food group entirely.
No wonder so many moms don't know who to trust anymore. It's. information overload these days, especially with AI. You can get information, but how do you know if it's right for you, your needs, your goals and being a mom.
That confusion is exactly why I made it my mission to teach women simple habits they can use for life, not another extreme protocol to follow for 30 days and abandon.
What Actually Works
Enough lean protein. Healthy fats. Complex carbs. Real food that supports your body instead of fighting it.
When you fuel this way, your body feels safe enough to build muscle and release fat. Not because you're restricting. Because you're finally giving it what it needs.

Nutrition Doesn't Work Alone
Food is only one piece. Fuelling properly works alongside gentle movement, rest, recovery, and hydration. These pillars support each other. When your nutrition, sleep, stress, and movement all move in the same direction, your body stops fighting you and starts responding.
That's the whole point of looking at all 6 pillars together instead of obsessing over food alone.
If Eating Enough Feels Scary
If the idea of fuelling your body properly brings up fear instead of relief, you're not broken. You've likely been taught the wrong relationship with food for a long time.
Inside the program, REBUILT, we rebuild that relationship one realistic habit at a time.
